What is Embossing?

Emboss or embossing is a print finishing technique normally applied to printed matter such as business cards. With the use of a metal or wooden block that has your design etched on it, this block is then pressed from under the paper or card to create the raised and 3D effect that is know as embossed. Embossing can work well with other types of print finishes such as foiling, spot uv gloss and lamination. Any print with an embossed finish has a nice sensory touch and will definitely standout!
